When asked the famous question "what do you want to be when you grow up?"
Josette, known by those close to her as Josie, has always had the same answer "I
want to be a professional and ride at the international Grand Prix level!"
She knew exactly what she wanted and still does. Josie has spent her life in
pursuit of that dream. She began riding at the Grand Prix level at the age of 17
and is always hungry for more. "I believe the way to success is paved by a lot
of hard work, and even more smiles." Says Josie , "I have the honor of doing
what I love everyday and helping people do the same. "
Josie has worked extensively with Gail Greenough
and Brent and Laura Balisky. She has ridden at Spruce Meadows (Calgary, Alberta ),
Show Park (San Diego, CA) and every where in between. As well as riding Josette
loves to teach "Teaching is incredibly rewarding for me. Watching a student
reach a goal is as good if not better then doing it myself ." When not at the
barn, which isn't often, Josie enjoys spending time with friends and family and
generally enjoying life.
